Senior Management Team
Ian began his career in the steel industry where he was responsible for the development of production control computer systems at a time when this was extremely innovative technology. Quickly, Ian was tasked with leading projects related to financial systems and ultimately this led to a number of senior management positions in various companies before an exciting opportunity within a marketing organisation encouraged a career change and route into Financial Services.
Ian has spent many years developing financial awareness seminars for companies and their staff. He is often requested as a speaker on numerous subject matters because of his extensive and diverse experience gained over many years. It is fair to say that Eulogie, a company started by Ian in 2004, is best known for helping over 10,000 NHS and Local Government employees whom have attended Eulogie financial seminars, especially during the Government's transformation of the public sector since 2010. Most recently Eulogie has been asked to support a number of large private organisations.
In 2012 Ian co-founded a legal services company called Trust Will Plan, the purpose of which was to provide a unique offering alongside a financial advisory venture which Ian helped to build from 2009 until its eventual sale to a large private equity group in 2013. Total Wealth Planning was initially formed in 2015 to provide Independent Financial Advice to attendees of Eulogie seminars and to further compliment the legal services offered through Trust Will Plan.
Born in North Wales, Ian holds a degree in Economics and he and his wife now live in Rugby. His many interests besides providing strategic advice at board level include motor sport, rugby, cricket and sampling real ales and single malt whisky, however not all at once

Stuart is a highly qualified, experienced financial planner and co-founder of a successful independent financial advisory firm that was sold to a private equity group in 2013. He has previously operated at board level, combining high levels of business acuity and strong tactical leadership skills. As a result he has a wealth of experience in a range of management functions. Stuart co-founded Total Wealth Management after a stint at Francis Clark Financial Planning as Compliance Director. He currently holds the Chartered Institute of Insurers Diploma title and is working towards Chartered Financial status. He has over 20 years accomplishment in customer-focused advisory organisations.
Stuart has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the finance industry, which enables him to advise clients on a wide range of issues. He takes great pride in his work and believes the key to success is to ensure that the client relationship is a long term one, and to provide exemplary ongoing service.
Stuart recently celebrated his fifteenth wedding anniversary and has two adorable children who take up much of his spare time. When not enjoying quality family time in the West Country he ventures on to the golf course and has been known to vent his frustration at his lack of skill on unsuspecting balls. He also enjoys scuba diving, mountain biking, surfing and modern history.
Karolina Korf-Youlton BA (Hons) MSc
Operations & Finance Director
Karolina brings to Total Wealth Planning an extremely successful track record along with a unique set of skills, having had successful careers in the UK Financial Services Industry and most recently being involved in a new Wealth Management venture based in Australia where responsible for building all operational systems and controls. Karolina has since taken up a Directorship with the business and continues to oversee both the finance and operational functions.
Having first started working in Financial Services back in 2011, Karolina went from running a small office within a highly successful Wealth Management Firm which at the time had around 10 staff, to building a network of offices across the UK with around 200 employees and providing support for 30,000 clients. Although this experience is hugely advantageous to Total Wealth Planning, it is Karolina's passion for the client that makes her one of our greatest assets.
Karolina initially began her career at the Home Office for the UK Government whilst completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and International Relations at Royal Holloway University of London. It was here that Karolina realised there was a strong desire for her to work with people and help make a difference as opposed to settling for the status quo.
To further her personal development and future career prospects Karolina undertook a Masters Degree in Politics and following completion of this with top marks was selected as a Commercial Graduate on a sought after program for the largest privately owned Construction Company in England. Karolina went on to complete the graduate program whilst being selected to support a major multi million pound arbitration case on which she had been working solely on for more than a year gaining an in depth comprehension of construction law. This experience underpinned Karolina's meticulous attention to detail and ability to structure operational procedures to deliver preciously what is required at a given time.
Following many great achievements over a career which has been remarkable on reflection, it is the challenge of making sure each and every client of Total Wealth Planning is truly impressed with the professionalism and ability to deliver consistently what is promised as this is all that matters each and every day. In Karolina's own words, "it is the clients that determine if we are successful as a business, we merely facilitate the method to judge this - our delivery".
Karolina’s educational achievements are already impressive and despite having a challenging role at Total Wealth Planning, along with various consultancy roles and Directorships in Australia, the UK & Poland, she still finds time to study subjects that further develop knowledge and expertise within the Financial Services sector.
It is hard to believe but Karolina does make time for out of work enjoyment and has a wonderful daughter that keeps her very busy, constantly requiring a driver to make all her various school and sporting commitments one would be forgiven in thinking Karolina has a part time job as a taxi driver!
Currently Sales Director and a Senior Financial Planner within the business, Stuart is a true leader inspiring others by working with a portfolio of clients himself, at the same time as building and running a highly successful team of Financial Planners. Stuart understands what it takes to deliver a great service, from seeing the clients and understanding their needs, through to delivering the advice in a timely and compliant manner with the ethos of always placing the client’s needs at the forefront of the business. This ethos has been installed in every member of the team and is essential to ongoing success.
Previous experience across multiple businesses since 1996 has provided Stuart with many challenges, above all else it has provided the confidence and the know how of what a client wants, and how to deliver it.
Stuart decided in 2015 that he needed to use his management skills and many years of experience to create an option for clients that was far superior to that which is all too commonly found within larger advisory businesses.
Joining Total Wealth Planning in 2016 became a natural choice after it was evident that there was a shared vision within the business to be honest, dependable and professional with all clients. It was this culture above all else that become a major factor in taking up the role as Sales Director.
Previous roles include building professional connections with Solicitors and Accountants, advising high net worth clients and holding senior management roles within a number of well known companies in the UK financial services industry.
Having held a number of advisory roles himself, Stuart has the experience of seeing and understanding what ‘good’ looks like and what ‘bad’ looks like. Stuart is passionate in the fact that he strives to ensure that not only will Total Wealth Planning be ‘good’ but ‘exemplary’ in every experience the client receives.
Outside of work life Stuart is married and enjoys playing football with his two sons. Stuart moved home in 2014 to provide a fantastic and new experience for his family to grow up in and has since developed a small holding which in years to come he hopes will provide the family with everything that they need.
Head of Financial Planning
Martin joined Total Wealth Planning in 2016 and holds the position as Head of Financial Planning, overseeing a National Financial Planning Team, along with being a Senior Financial Planner himself and providing advice to a portfolio of clients. As part of the Senior Management team, Martin is responsible for leading and overseeing the integration of previously outsourced business functions.
Martin has over 16 years experience in the industry working for two large Life Insurance companies on a consultancy basis supporting a number of Financial Advisers. Over the last 9 years Martin has focused on delivering quality and consistent advice to private clients and businesses alike, in addition to supporting various strategic projects at management level.
Holding advanced qualifications in the Financial Planning field, Martin specialises in pensions advice and also estate planning whilst continuing his study to become “Chartered Adviser” status.
Martin is passionate about planning and uses his experience to help shape the shared vision of quality, consistent and dependable advice and strives to provide a first class service to all clients. A strong belief of Martin's is that a quality service is key to maintaining long term and trust based relationships with clients.
Outside of work Martin is a keen sportsman. He enjoys Badminton and commits time to the position of Chairman to his local club while golf, cycling and the occasional gym session are also enjoyed if motivation allows.
